We are proud to annonce our new partnership with the Interieur Foundation for this year’s edition of the famous biennale Interieur 2012 in Kortrijk, 20 - 28 October.
Interieur is a renowned biennale with worldwide recognition that puts contemporary design for the home and interior innovations on display for a broad general public and not only for professionals.
Our e-card technology will be available to all visitors of Interieur 2012. At the online registration for Interieur 2012 visitors will be asked to print a barcode ticket enabling them to receive their personal e-card linked to their own contact information.
With the e-card they will be able to select information on touchscreens kiosks and receive it on their online account. Back home visitors will just have to enter the code printed on their card on the Interieur website to retreive all the information (product sheets, catalogues, price lists, pictures, videos, special offers,…) they selected.
Exhibitors will receive real time statistics about their touchscreen kiosks on their online administration interface which will also enable them to download contact details of their booth’s visitors who agreed to be contacted.
Come to Kortrijk in October to check it out! See you there!
Our new website is out!!!
It is the fruit of a long reflection that took almost 2 years. Back in 2009 we had only one product the Clickey and we didn’t even know who we were going to sell it to. So we started selling it online and explained on the website what it could do without addressing a particular audience, just speaking generally. Not surprisingly, we didn’t sell that many products through our online shop. Because we didn’t even know our target audience and secondly because the product is quite complicated so it requires a direct contact with the client to sell it. We understood that our product could only be used in a closed environment and that is when we came to the event industry.
We started selling our product directly by contacting prospects and the business started to grow. We noticed quickly that our product was only adpated to a certain type of event like conferences or congresses. It wasn’t suitable for bigger events with different aims and higher number of attendees. This is the reason why we came up with new products for trade shows and music events.
The reflection about the new website started with the arrival of those new products. We started thinking in terms of target audience in order to address our website specifically to this target. This is why we segmented our offer into 3 different types of events rather than talking about the products themselves. As we are primarily talking to events organizers, they can directly identify which section is more relevant to them. We are also clearly demonstrating the advantages for every actor in the event industry: the organizer, the exhibitors or sponsors and the visitor.
We have segmented our offer into 3 differents axis with products and services adapted to a specific type of event:
- Clickeys and tag posters for Congresses: typically small events with a conference and an exhibition space where networking and information exchanges is really important.
- E-cards and touchscreens kiosks for Trade Shows: big events with many exhibitors where information exchanges and leads collection has a great importance.
- Wristbands and Social Networks Interaction for Music events: events where sponsors are looking to increase their brand awareness and get exposure on social networks.
For each type of event we have added Case Studies enabling our clients to get an idea of all the advantages they can get from our services. They also help to get a better picture of what it actually look like on an event and more importantly what the results are.
We have decided to concentrate the website on the events segment because it is the first sector in which we make business and the one in which we have acquired an extensive experience. Nevertheless, we have also developed projects for other industries which will soon be reavealed.
This reflection and website re-design was made possible thanks to the help of Geoffroy Delobel (Central Design) and Ali Nassiri (Digital Park) who have been our partners since the very beginning of this adventure.
Our teams are very proud to present this new website and hope you will like it. Check it out and let us know what you think!

Getyoo announces a partnership with Eventattitude

Getyoo announces a partnership with Eventattitude to further develop opportunities for interaction between social networks and fun experiences on events or on brand activation operations.
Encouraged by the success of recent projects combining the experience on the event and its extension to Facebook (Fiat / Lancia at the Motor Show and Belgacom International Thriller Film Festival Liège), Eventattitude has concluded a partnership with Getyoo to accelerate its development in this area. This agreement will also allow to broaden the range of possibilities.
Founded in April 2009 and based in Brussels, Getyoo is a company active in the field of paperless information services for the events and meetings industry. True effective alternative to paper waste, Getyoo allows to exchange digital business cards and to select digital information using a contactless smart card (NFC).
It is this same technology that promotes the development of experiments in which gestures that are made on site (“Real Life Shares “) have an extension on social networks like Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn, for example.
For the advertiser, the advantage is clear: the many people implied in the fun experience at the event will be as many relays of information to their networks of online friends.
For the start of their partnership, Eventattitude and Getyoo will take the time to select some pilot projects in the coming weeks.
The development of joint activities will combine the complementary approaches taken so far by the 2 partners: Getyoo will continue its policy of partnerships with event organizers in order to deploy a standardized technical solution. It is on this basis that Eventattitude will develop tailor-made solutions for each advertiser by combining their well known ingredients: SMILE - ACT - PLAY!
The Interactive Experiences Concept launched by Getyoo on PIAS Nites.
On March 25th and 26th, Getyoo launched its concept of Interactive Experiences on PIAS Nites in Brussels, a major music event featuring Faithless, Cassius, Buraka Som Systema, Crystal Fighters and many others. The concept involves your Facebook (or other social networks) friends in experiences that are happening to you at a party.
Thanks to an amazing new technology, a small chip (NFC tag) incorporated in a card, which can be identified by a reader, real Facebook users were able to use the service offline and to perform interactions coming from Facebook but in real life. Partygoers received a unique ID card that they had to link to their Facebook account on one of the interactive kiosks. Once the link was made they could start to perform actions involving Facebook.
For example, in the Photo booth Experience developed with Vedett, groups of friends could touch the reader with their card and pose in front of a camera that took pictures and posted them automatically on their Facebook profile. There were 1631 photos taken during the two evenings. In addition, two people who just met physically at the party could also make friends requests suggestions on Facebook by placing their card over two readers next to each other. We generated a huge number of Facebook posts with an average of 5,8 feedbacks per post (likes & comments) which created a lot of online buzz.
The system also enabled to play games, enter contests and select digital media. Partygoers were offered free music and got a chance to win a Fender guitar signed by all artists by just placing their card on a reader on one of the sides of the interactive cubes sponsored by ING. We got 3505 requests on the interactive cubes with an average of 5 picks per person. It was also possible to win many great prizes by triggering a jackpot game with the card. The game had a lot of success with 1334 participations.

The Real Life Facebook Interaction launched on one of the last concert of Faithless.
On March 25th and 26th, Getyoo, a company creating smart and interactive experiences for events, will launch its brand new experiences connecting the physical world with the virtual world on PIAS Nites at Tour & Taxis, Brussels.
On March 16th 2011, Faithless the British electronica band announced that they would split. Faithless have sold over 12 million records worldwide. It will probably be one of their last concerts. PIAS expects more than 6,000 people on this event. For the first time in Europe a connected event will integrate Facebook with an offline activity in a completely new way incorporating real life activity thanks to an amazing new technology.
The principle is easy. As the card you use to open a door, partygoers will receive a “interactive card” to perform interactions coming from Facebook but in real life. For example, two people who just met physically at the party can also make friends requests suggestions on Facebook by placing their card over two readers next to each other. Geoffroy Simon, COO of Getyoo said about the system “all processes are automated and interactions happen in real time, it’s a great step forward in the world of social networking”.
Getyoo believes there is a great potential in the system and hopes to inspire brand and event organizers to go even further and create entirely new ways to interact with our environment. Kenny Gates, CEO of PIAS Label added “it’s a revolutionary concept that opens up a wide range of possibilities in the world of music events, we’re excited to see people’s reactions at PIAS Nites”.
In the Photo booth experience developed with Vedett, groups of friends can touch the reader with their card and pose in front of a camera that will take pictures and post them automatically on their Facebook profile. In addition, the system also enables to play games, enter contests and select digital media. Partygoers will be offered free music and will get a chance to win a Fender guitar signed by all artists by just placing their card on a reader on one of the sides of the interactive cubes sponsored by ING.

Based on NFC technology, the Getyoo solutions are aimed at facilitating exchanges between the real world and the virtual universe by interconnecting objects, people, social networks and the web. The company recently partnered with Belgacom to offer contactless payments on events using the same cards / readers system.
On the 23rd and 24th of November, Getyoo went to Berlin to provide its networking and paperless solutions to EWEA - The European Wind energy Association - for the conference they organized just next to Alexander Platz.
The GRIDS 2010 conference explored the financial, technical, policy and regulatory issues that will shape the development of a grid that meets Europe’s energy, consumer and climate needs.
We created 2 Wall of Fame containing links to information, videos and pdf’s about sponsors and exhibitors, we also placed small posters on exhibitors stand in order to let people get digital information instead of paper documents.
Many thanks to EWEA for their great organization !

On the 30th of June and 1st of July, we were exhibiting at the European Business Summit in Brussels. We stayed until the end on the last day and witnessed the waste of paper. Here are some pics we took to show you there IS A BIG PROBLEM on those events that we can fix !
Please stop wasting paper ! Help us save the trees !
On the 7th of July, 600 Getyoo Clickeys were given to all participants to the opening ceremony of the Belgian Presidency of the Competitiveness Council (Research) happening at the Bourse / Beurs in Brussels.
The ceremony was organized by Benoît Cerexhe, the Belgian Minister of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region, responsible for the Economy, Employment, Scientific Research and Foreign Trade, by Sabine Laruelle, Minister for SMEs, the Self-Employed, Agriculture and Scientific Policy and by RIB, Research in Brussels.
The Clickeys had a great success as everyone was wearing one. We constructed a “Getyoo Wall of Fame” for the occasion comprising 24 tags that people could click in order to get links to the main scientific and research organizations in Belgium as well as links to digital arts organizations and pdf’s publications related to science, innovation and research.
There were also digital arts installations showing the latest innovations in the field. Participants had the occasion to click on descriptive sheets placed next to each installation in order to pick up more information about the artist and the installation. The artist themselves could also click the people who were interested into their artwork so they could follow the discussion later and easily find each other’s contact details.
The event was a great success with many many clicks !

END OF EBSUMMIT 1st DAY:
There are approximately 400 tables with piles of wasted paper on it here at the EBS (European Business Summit), it’s always painful to see how much paper is wasted at those type of events. If we had installed the Getyoo solution all this would not have happened ;)
