The Real Life Facebook Interaction launched on one of the last concert of Faithless.
On March 25th and 26th, Getyoo, a company creating smart and interactive experiences for events, will launch its brand new experiences connecting the physical world with the virtual world on PIAS Nites at Tour & Taxis, Brussels.
On March 16th 2011, Faithless the British electronica band announced that they would split. Faithless have sold over 12 million records worldwide. It will probably be one of their last concerts. PIAS expects more than 6,000 people on this event. For the first time in Europe a connected event will integrate Facebook with an offline activity in a completely new way incorporating real life activity thanks to an amazing new technology.
The principle is easy. As the card you use to open a door, partygoers will receive a “interactive card” to perform interactions coming from Facebook but in real life. For example, two people who just met physically at the party can also make friends requests suggestions on Facebook by placing their card over two readers next to each other. Geoffroy Simon, COO of Getyoo said about the system “all processes are automated and interactions happen in real time, it’s a great step forward in the world of social networking”.
Getyoo believes there is a great potential in the system and hopes to inspire brand and event organizers to go even further and create entirely new ways to interact with our environment. Kenny Gates, CEO of PIAS Label added “it’s a revolutionary concept that opens up a wide range of possibilities in the world of music events, we’re excited to see people’s reactions at PIAS Nites”.
In the Photo booth experience developed with Vedett, groups of friends can touch the reader with their card and pose in front of a camera that will take pictures and post them automatically on their Facebook profile. In addition, the system also enables to play games, enter contests and select digital media. Partygoers will be offered free music and will get a chance to win a Fender guitar signed by all artists by just placing their card on a reader on one of the sides of the interactive cubes sponsored by ING.
