The Interactive Experiences Concept launched by Getyoo on PIAS Nites.

On March 25th and 26th, Getyoo launched its concept of Interactive Experiences on PIAS Nites in Brussels, a major music event featuring Faithless, Cassius, Buraka Som Systema, Crystal Fighters and many others. The concept involves your Facebook (or other social networks) friends in experiences that are happening to you at a party.

Thanks to an amazing new technology, a small chip (NFC tag) incorporated in a card, which can be identified by a reader, real Facebook users were able to use the service offline and to perform interactions coming from Facebook but in real life. Partygoers received a unique ID card that they had to link to their Facebook account on one of the interactive kiosks. Once the link was made they could start to perform actions involving Facebook.

For example, in the Photo booth Experience developed with Vedett, groups of friends could touch the reader with their card and pose in front of a camera that took pictures and posted them automatically on their Facebook profile. There were 1631 photos taken during the two evenings. In addition, two people who just met physically at the party could also make friends requests suggestions on Facebook by placing their card over two readers next to each other. We generated a huge number of Facebook posts with an average of 5,8 feedbacks per post (likes & comments) which created a lot of online buzz.

The system also enabled to play games, enter contests and select digital media. Partygoers were offered free music and got a chance to win a Fender guitar signed by all artists by just placing their card on a reader on one of the sides of the interactive cubes sponsored by ING. We got 3505 requests on the interactive cubes with an average of 5 picks per person. It was also possible to win many great prizes by triggering a jackpot game with the card. The game had a lot of success with 1334 participations.

On the 23rd and 24th of November, Getyoo went to Berlin to provide its networking and paperless solutions to EWEA - The European Wind energy Association - for the conference they organized just next to Alexander Platz.

The GRIDS 2010 conference explored the financial, technical, policy and regulatory issues that will shape the development of a grid that meets Europe’s energy, consumer and climate needs.

We created 2 Wall of Fame containing links to information, videos and pdf’s about sponsors and exhibitors, we also placed small posters on exhibitors stand in order to let people get digital information instead of paper documents.

Many thanks to EWEA for their great organization !

On the 7th of July, 600 Getyoo Clickeys were given to all participants to the opening ceremony of the Belgian Presidency of the Competitiveness Council (Research) happening at the Bourse / Beurs in Brussels.

The ceremony was organized by Benoît Cerexhe, the Belgian Minister of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region, responsible for the Economy, Employment, Scientific Research and Foreign Trade, by Sabine Laruelle, Minister for SMEs, the Self-Employed, Agriculture and Scientific Policy and by RIB, Research in Brussels.

The Clickeys had a great success as everyone was wearing one. We constructed a “Getyoo Wall of Fame” for the occasion comprising  24 tags that people could click in order to get links to the main scientific and research organizations in Belgium as well as links to digital arts organizations and pdf’s publications related to science, innovation and research.

There were also digital arts installations showing the latest innovations in the field. Participants had the occasion to click on descriptive sheets placed next to each installation in order to pick up more information about the artist and the installation. The artist themselves could also click the people who were interested into their artwork so they could follow the discussion later and easily find each other’s contact details.

The event was a great success with many many clicks !

Getyoo Tags & Clickeys at Sirris Innovate 2010

Last Friday (4th of June), we were present at the Sirris Innovate 2010 event to offer the Getyoo solution. During the day participants could attend 3 inspirational sessions. Expert speakers from Procter & Gamble, Materialise, KULeuven, Umicore, Creax and Inno.com shared their vision and experience on these current technology themes - Digital factory, Open incubation and Software innovation.

Each of the 100 participants received a Clickey at the entrance that allowed them to click other people in order to exchange digital business cards. We also placed 25 posters containing tags that people could click to get digital information about companies, presentations and Sirris activities (pdf’s, videos or links to websites).

At the end of the day, we calculated a total 1095 clicks for 538 business cards exchanges and 557 media picked up which means people clicked on average 5,38 people and selected 5,57 media. If those media had been paper catalogues we would have saved approximately 100 kilos and 25 grams of paper!

The event was a real success, we had a lot of positive feedback and people were really happy to be able to select only the media they wanted instead of having to carry a bag full of documents!
